The Rheumatology Department has 12 beds in 6 rooms. The Department has a Hospital Rheumatology Clinic for patients treated in the NHF therapeutic programs. The Rheumatology Department specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of inflammatory diseases of the joints and systemic diseases of connective tissue.

 

The department carries out anti-cytokine treatment (biological therapies) as part of NHF therapeutic programs in such indications as: rheumatoid arthritis (RA), psoriatic arthritis (PsA), ankylosing arthritis (AS).

 

The department is a training base for resident doctors, interns, physiotherapy students. It is a place for specialist traineeships in rheumatology for doctors specializing in other fields of medicine.

The team of the department consists of an experienced team of rheumatologists, nurses and hospital attendants. The satisfaction of the treated patients is the result of the involvement of all staff and a good working atmosphere is the continuous scientific development of the department.

The department also diagnoses and treats patients with other rheumatological diseases, such as: 

 Systemic vasculitis

 Diseases caused by crystals, e.g. gout

 Osteoporosis

 

We provide our patients with comprehensive biochemical, immunological, bacteriological, genetic and radiological diagnostics. Depending on the needs, specialist consultations and highly specialized treatment, e.g. plasmapheresis, haemofiltration, and hemodialysis are available on the premises of the hospital.
