The Hospital Emergency Department provides health care services consisting in initial diagnostics and undertaking treatment to the extent necessary to stabilize the vital functions of people who are in a state of sudden health threat, transported by: medical rescue teams, Medical Air Rescue, ambulance transport teams or self-reporting teams.

The department has a 24/7 landing pad located at such a distance that it is possible to receive people who are in a state of sudden health risk without the use of specialized means of sanitary transport.

The following teams are included in the organizational structure of the HED:

Medical Rescue Team S (MRT - specialist),

two Medical Emergency Teams P (MRT - basic),

red color - immediate help. Patient admitted out of sequence,

orange - very urgent help. Waiting time 10 minutes,

yellow - urgent help. Waiting time up to 60 minutes,

green color - deferred aid. Waiting time up to 120 minutes,
