Patient of the Nuclear Medicine Laboratory
With great pleasure, but also in the conviction that I can never give too many good words to you, I would like to thank Dr. Przemysław Drobik and the entire Nuclear Medicine Team for their professionalism, empathy, and the atmosphere that they build from the first contact, i.e. registration for tests, while waiting, during the test itself, also when receiving the results.
I am a cancer patient who has been successfully relieved of this severe disease for over 8 years. Each examination causes anxiety, increases stress and triggers fear. At this point, it is very important whom we meet in the hospital clinic or in the department. My sensitivity (I guessmany other people’s too) at such moments is very high. Taking care of a patient, for example, by calmly and exhaustively discussing the preparation for the test, then the installation of a cannula and giving a contrast with great care and calm, then tactfully observing the person waiting for the test and finally helping to get into the test and go through it, are something extraordinary for me while an obvious practice for the Team led by Dr. Drobik.
I also heard this opinion while waiting for the test, but also for me there was another experience. Waiting for the result itself is an understandable issue, but a very pleasant surprise was the information just after the end of the scintigraphy, which showed that the doctor was present during the examination, that he did not notice any disturbing images. These few words made this waiting so much easier.
I extend my gratitude to the Oncology Department, for the Nuclear Medicine Department at the hospital you are in charge of. I also experienced my adventure with chemotherapy in Piła and despite very difficult hospital conditions at the time, I am convinced that the care of Dr. Alina Strąg-Lemanowicz and the entire Team brought such an effect.
Finally, I would like to add that Piła and the neighboring towns together with the inhabitants deserve these places, in the case of illness, the proximity of home and loved ones is a very important motivator to fight the enemy in the form of disease.
I wish you and all the employees of the Specialist Hospital in Piła good luck and peace in coping with the hardships of everyday life.
