About the ward
The Department of Internal Diseases conducts extensive diagnostics and therapy of cardiovascular, respiratory, digestive, metabolic, endocrine, oncological and diabetes diseases.
Services
The services provided by the department include in particular diagnostics and treatment of:
1. Diseases of the respiratory system:
atypical, viral pneumonia,
bronchiectasis
exudative pleurisy,
neoplastic diseases of the respiratory system and chest,
COPD and other obstructive respiratory diseases,
pneumonia,
bronchial asthma,
other respiratory diseases.
2. Cardiovascular diseases:
circulatory failure,
hypertension.
3. Diseases of the digestive system:
small diagnostic gastrointestinal procedures,
medium endoscopic procedures of the gastrointestinal tract,
abdominal diseases,
intestinal diseases,
stomach and duodenal diseases,
esophageal diseases.
4. Other diseases:
acute and chronic liver diseases,
bile duct cancer,
acute and chronic pancreatic diseases,
diseases of the bile ducts,
water and electrolyte disturbances,
eating disorders,
diabetes,
thyroid disease,
endocrine tumors,
other endocrine diseases,
vascular diseases,
allergic diseases,
light and medium poisoning,
non-viral infectious diseases,
enteral and partial parenteral nutrition.
For the patients
The Head of the Department or a doctor authorized by him qualifies patients with referrals for scheduled admission, setting the date of admitting the patient to the department. Patients are admitted to the Ward after establishing a medical history and other necessary medical documentation. A sick person admitted to the Ward should have toiletries, pajamas, bathrobe and home footwear.
Information about the patient's condition is provided by the Supervisor or the attending physician on the days and times given on the information boards.
The branch may provide paid health services to persons who are not entitled to health services financed from public funds, or to health services not qualified as guaranteed.
